shu uemura art of hair at edris salon
this week i got the super special treat of a “hair ceremony” at edris salon, using lots of delicious shu uemura art of hair products. if, like me, you’re wondering what a hair ceremony is, i can tell you. it involves: hors d’oeuvres, catching up with friends (greta, karen, kelly, and mimi), a looong and luxurious head massage involving scented oils, a shampoo, blow-out and hair styling, then a walk around the city to show off your newly bouncy, shiny hair. for me it also involved a little trim since my hair was so ratty- embarrassing! you can bet i’ll be going back to see Edris herself for a proper haircut soon, i was so impressed.
i use a few shu uemura makeup products (particularly their hard pencil for brows, and sheer lipsticks), but had never tried their hair products before. i brought a big bag of loot home from the event and will update you as i try it all out; but my initial impression is that i can’t live without this stuff. hope you enjoy the video (i’m linking it here too- seems like it doesn’t want to embed in google chrome)!
